No doubt, the virus-Maxtrox that Windx previously entered into the top ten but got the last order, this time he immediately raced to the first order. The rest, still occurs chase between each of the virus. Only one new virus that is Fdshield, who entered ranked this time, the rest is a virus variant or old. Here is a list of more:

1. Windx-Maxtrox

Viruses are created with Visual Basic has the original size of about 77Kb, without in-pack. Viruses that allegedly came from the area of North Sulawesi has an executable file infection capabilities. Rather, it will infect existing programs in the Program Files directory. Infection techniques he applied smart enough to avoid detection by antivirus heuristic engine. Characteristics that can be recognized on infected computers is changing the desktop wallpaper images into animated images.

2. AutoIt variant

The characteristics of this virus is made using a scripting automation program. What if the compiled into an executable file, which is also on-pack with UPX. And nearly 90% AutoIt virus variants and all we have, using icons like folders in disguise. The virus is also usually will create an autorun.inf file on a disk drive when you strike or flash drives.

3. Malingsi

The virus was fat with the size of 705,312 bytes was created using Visual Basic in-pack using PECompact. It seems this virus is intended to attack other viruses, can be seen from the message in your body. These viruses multiply and spread using mIRC intermediary, which acts as a bot.

4. Recycler variant

Which is characteristic of this virus is how it spread technique. Of all the variants that we have, the way he did is the same, that is disguised like Recycle Bin. For example while it attacks flash disk. In the flash disk there will be a victim with a Recycler folder that contains folders using alpha numeric names such as “S-1-5-21-1482476501-1644491937-682003330-1013″ with a icon similar to the Recycle Bin icon. If this folder is clicked or accessed from the Explorer, the file will not appear viruses. To see it, you can go to the command prompt with the command “dir / a”.

5. Fdshield

Viruses are created using Delphi language uses the icon that resembles the Internet Explorer. Has a file size of 553,472 bytes, with no on-pack. One thing is obvious from these viruses is the name used when spread, which reads “17 + + & Secret Women Sexs artis Indonesia (foto2_kamera tersembunyi_liputan). Exe”. For users who have not the heart – heart, will think the file is a HTML file. If you look at the directory C: \ Windows \ System32, will find a master file with the name “rundl32.exe”. Do not be fooled again! That was not part of the Windows files, but it was a virus file. Note the letter “L” is just one. And now look at the Task Schedule, there is a new Job with the name “Windows FD Shield” which will execute the virus file at a time when he had set.

6. Purwo variant

Another new variant, Purwo.C, was created using Visual Basic, with the body size of about 56KB, pure in-pack. This virus uses a Word document icon similar to defraud MsOffice’s victim. When it infects creates a folder with the name “Purwokerto Under Cover” is given the hidden attribute, and contains a file named “KoruptorPurwokerto.exe” on each drive that he had found. In the folder C: \ Windows \ System32 \ system also windowss.exe files, and in C: \ Windows \ javaa \ service.exe. At certain times it will show a black screen that contains the text message from the manufacturer. And be careful, this virus will delete some files that he’s met you.

7. Formalin

Icons used by this virus resembles like a folder, and he created using Visual Basic. In Formalin.D, the file size of 18,432 bytes, with on-pack conditions using UPX. This virus creates a folder “disguise” with names such as leaks about the UAN and UAS, My Completed Downloads, Wallpaper Picture, Crack Program, Jgn open!, Nitip Data (jgn removed), and so forth. At the infected computer, the Internet Explorer caption will be changed to “Your computer has been infected the virus Formalin”. He also tried to disable “safe-mode” by deleting a few registry-related. And the properties of the virus file, in the description of version information will be written as “Kasian DCH loe”.

8. Raider.vbs variant

This VBScript virus type virus if the file is opened with Notepad, not a lot of strings that can be read because of the encrypted condition. This has become a habit in each variant. Typically, the Registry, it will give recognition to create a new key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE with the same name as the name of the computer name, the contents of a string value as a virus, Raider, and the date of the first computer infected.

8. Autorunme variant

Viruses are not the production of this pack of local programmers using PECompact. He does not have an icon, just use the default icon from the Windows applications. When infected, he tried to instill the parent file in the directory C: \ Windows \ System with names and msvc32s.exe with hidden and system attributes, and create new autorun in registry with the name “Windows

Biological viruses can be very concerning to people all over the globe. The recent swine flu epidemic has people worldwide seeking ways to protect themselves from this devastating virus. Computer viruses also can inflict serious damage and when they strike on a grand scale, can cripple computer systems affecting many daily activities. While vaccines aren’t logistically feasible for computers there are other methods of protecting your computer system against computer viruses. The most popular method is that of an effective antivirus program. Along with that there are other lengths you can go to in order to protect your system.

Many people believe that simply having their computer scanned weekly for virus is enough. Actually, while that is a good practice, it doesn’t prevent the virus from entering your computer system and infecting files. If the scan only occurs weekly the damage could have already occurred. In some cases, the virus changes things enough that the software will not detect the virus during the scan. Think about that little peep-hole that might exist in your front door. You wouldn’t let anyone into your home that you didn’t recognize, would you? So why let a file into your computer without checking it out first? In order to do this, you just simply scan the file on demand prior to opening it. If the scan results come back indicating a virus, you simply do not open the file and the antivirus software will guide you as far as what to do with the file. Also, make sure you scan email coming into your computer. This is an easy way viruses are spread.

Computer viruses can be devastating when their effects end up in the destruction of important computer files. That’s why you should always back up your important files or even digital photos. Some people I know make two copies and give one to a friend in the event of a fire or other situations that could damage the disc.

Transferring files can also pose a risk for infection. Say you use a flash drive to move files to another computer to work on. It is advisable to rescan the files prior to returning the updated files to your computer. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Most computer users have armed their home computer with protection from various harmful viruses that could be acquired from using the internet. Have you ever wondered how these antivirus software programs go about discerning safe files from those that could infect your computer and cause serious damage? There are actually several methods that these antivirus programs use to keep your computer safe from infection.

One method used is known as malicious activity detection. The antivirus software keeps tabs on the entire computer system. If there is any type of abnormal behaviour from any program, the software may begin monitoring it using another of these methods that will be mentioned later in this article.

Another method and perhaps the most well used is signature based detection. The anti-virus software contains a dictionary of the various signatures used by malicious computer viruses. What the software does is scan file contents. Then a comparison is made between those contents and the known virus signatures. When a match is made then the virus is detected.

A third approach is known as file analysis. With this method the antivirus software looks for files that have instructions contained within them that are similar to viruses. There are some drawbacks to this approach. In order for this method to work on your computer, the antivirus software must draw upon a significant amount of computer’s resources. This makes it difficult to do other activities when the software is running. This method also works well to identify new viruses and their offshoots. Like other methods, on occasion certain files are earmarked as malicious when they are not.

File emulation is another manner in which antivirus software detects virus infection. What occurs with this approach is that a program is run and the software monitors the actions of the software. Based upon these actions, the antivirus software can determine if the program is safe to your computer or if it is malicious and should be removed. This method has some disadvantages. Occasionally, sometimes the antivirus software can incorrectly mark a program as a virus when in fact it is not.

Nowadays computers are part of everyday life, and sit along with eating and sleeping as something we all do every day, and although they provide a wealth of information at our fingertips, a way to make jobs which would take hours take minutes, and of course a great source of entertainment, they are not without their frustrating moments, one of these being of course the computer virus.

We’ve all heard of them, whether it be in the latest company newsletter about the virus attacking your bosses hard drive, or in the news that the latest computer bug will destroy all life as we know it, the computer virus can be an annoying thing, and whether we know it or not, most of us have ‘contracted’ a virus on our PC at some point, but how much do we know about them? For the large majority of computer users a computer virus is something for the ‘Tech Guy’ to deal with, and apart from installing anti-virus software there’s little we can, or can be bothered, to do.

A computer virus is basically a computer program that has the ability to copy itself and ‘infect’ a computer without the owner telling it to do so, or even being aware. The term “virus” is also commonly but wrongly used to refer to other types of malicious software such as malware, adware, and spyware programs. A virus in the true sense of the word can only spread from one computer to another when it is taken there, whether that’s over a network or the Internet, or carried it on a removable medium such as a floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB drive. Viruses often increase their chances of spreading to other computers by infecting files on a network file system.

The advent of the internet has meant that viruses can spread much more easily, and regular outbreaks of certain viruses attack computers which are not properly protected by antivirus software . Viruses such as Sasser have in the past knocked out huge networks of computers, putting businesses out of action sometimes for days at a time.

If you think your computer may be infected, take all necessary steps to clear your system and avoid infecting other computers.
• Step 1
Be cautious about what disks and files you accept from other people.
• Step 2
Don’t reuse disks that have been in other computers, don’t download files from insecure sites, and don’t open e-mail attachments unless you are expecting them. Be wary of messages and attachments, even from people you know, with vague subject lines and contents, such as ‘Check this’ or ‘See these pics!!!’
• Step 3
Obtain an antivirus program to more safely share disks, download files from the Internet and open e-mail attachments.
• Step 4
If your system gets a virus, visit your virus-scan software manufacturer’s Web site and install any virus updates that are available. Then run the software. The software may not be able to delete the virus, but it may be able to identify it.
• Step 5
Search the Web for information regarding your specific virus by typing the name of the virus or its associated file into a search engine, followed by the word ‘virus.’ For example, ‘Melissa virus,’ ‘BubbleBoy virus,’ and so on.
• Step 6
Download and install any software patches or other programs that will help you eliminate the virus. Or follow any instructions you find on deleting the virus manually.
• Step 7
Run another virus scan to make sure the virus was dealt with properly.
• Step 8
Employ extra caution when you receive attachments that end in the commonly used extensions .doc, .exe, .com, .xls or .ppt. Never open attachments that end in .vbs or .js, since a typical user would never have a reason to open these files.
